Why blog?

This is the question. I've had blogs in the past. It's been many years and much has transpired since.  Hundreds of  instragram pictures verify much of what has occurred since I last blogged. The kids have grown. The homeschooling is almost over.  We've tried our hands at small time homesteading and self-sufficiency (sort of). We then gave up that dream because we found it was way too much work. We've been in Alaska 12 years now.  We've had many adventures in Alaska and a few abroad again, mostly documented in photos on Instagram. Recently, Ive grown tired of the tiny little explanations of major life events that are only available on instagram and facebook. Facebook has become impersonal and strange. It seems taboo to share your thoughts or feelings on Facebook now a days. I've bought into the lie that no one wants to hear what you have to say on social media, especially if it is something you genuinely believe or feel. It somehow feels safer to blog to the universe than post on facebook. That being said, this season has produced much in me that is dying to be released on a platform. So blogging it is. If only to get it out of myself and into the universe...so be it. If someone enjoys it, hurray! I don't claim to be a theologian but I love Jesus and He speaks to me. So I will share what He shows me. Sometimes I will share about my family. Sometimes my adventures. And often my heart. Because that's who I am. If you want to read, please subscribe.
