Broken Vessels

The curse and the blessing of who God made me to be is this….
He allows me to see the brokenness.
I see it in his church.
The local church and the global.
Because of this He is calling me
Up and out
To speak up.
To be bold.
Where once I would
Pray and keep quiet.

This is what He said to me
“Broken Vessels
Hold
My Glory
Broken Systems
Hold
Nothing”

This is what I see.
I see His beauty in us.
The more broken the person.
The more He heals and the more He fills.
The more cracks we expose to the world
The more we show the world who He is through us.
He is the gold that refines. He is the gold that strengthens.
He is the gold that fills in our emptiness, our hurts, our scars.
So do not hide your brokenness.
Expose the Glory of God in you, don’t deny Him this.
Bride of Christ, you are beautiful when you let him shine through.
When you acknowledge your brokenness
He can show His Glory in and through you.

I also see this with great sadness
I see the brokenness in our systems
The systems we use.
They entertain instead of teach.
They control instead of empower.
They exist to grow us and yet…
We wither, we grow cold and we slip away.
An entire generation slips away
The systems don’t save
The systems don’t grow
The systems don’t strengthen
The bride. They make her weak.
We have so many systems in place
But we have forgotten the most important

I see the broken crying out
For gold to fill their cracks
I see a church too broken
To reach the lost
To teach their members
To live their lives to the ends of the earth
No matter the cost.

I hear Him
He wants us
Just us
To live eyes and souls wide open
To be His hands and feet
To love our neighbors
To pray and worship with abandon
To burry ourselves in his His word
To grow and produce fruit through the living water of His Spirit
It’s time
